AMD has announced the Indian launch of the new Radeon R9 285 graphics card. The card is priced at Rs. 19,990, and is essentially a direct upgrade over the previous R9 280.
The R9 285 runs on AMD’s latest Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture and supports technologies like the upcoming DirectX 12 and AMD’s Mantle API. The r9 285 features an engine clock speed of 918 MHz and 2GB of frame buffer running at 5.5Gbps. It is capable of delivering up to 3.29 TFLOPS of computing performance.
AMD has also announced the new leg of its game bundle promotion with the “Never Settle: Space Edition”. The bundle includes titles like Alien: Isolation and Mustang Omega Variant Racer. Picking up an AMD Radeon graphics card will also get you access to a library of up to 29 different games.
