How to install ubuntu 14.04.1 Linux (DVD and USB installation)

Install Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS

There are two major methods of installing ubuntu on your machine-

1. Via DVD
2. Via USB Pen drive

Steps to follow (For DVD Installation):-

1. First of all you need to download ubuntu ISO bootable image from one of the links : Ubuntu download
2. Then you need to write the iso file to the DVD.Tools like Roxio Creator can be used for burning process.Free softwares like Free ISO Burner Can also be used.
3. Shut down your PC after inserting the DVD.Now turn on the PC.Make sure that boot sequence is preconfigured to boot the DVD.If not, you can open Bios settings menu of your computer (Press Del key during start up for most of the machines) and configure the boot menu.
4. After Turning the PC on you can see the DVD is in boot sequence and Installation has begun.
   
5. Now you can follow on  screen Instruction for installing Ubuntu On your PC.

Steps to follow (For USB Installation):-

1. First of all you need to get  A pen drive, and a software called UnetBootin.
2. Then plug in you pen drive and Open UNetBootin.
3. In software menu, select the version of linux you want to install and your USB stick Path.And proceed.
   
4. Now the Required installation files will be copied to your pen drive.
5. Now Shut down your PC while the stick is plugged in to the USB drive.
6. Again enter BIOS settings menu and change sequence of Boot devices.Pen drive should be 1st Boot priority. You can enter this Bios settings menu in most of the computers by pressing Del key.
7. When you boot in the USB you will see the options for Installing the Linux and Running the linux without installing.
8. Proceed the installation or just run the linux.

Most of the drivers are loaded after installation.And some drivers needs to be installed manually.
