Ubisoft revealed today Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, an entirely new downloadable Assassin's Creed game, featuring 2.5 side-scrolling gameplay and starring Shao Jun, making her second appearance in the franchise following her debut in the animated movie Assassin's Creed Embers.
Interestingly, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China was revealed to be part of the Season Pass for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity, which will also include the "Dead Kings" downloadable content, which according to Ubisoft will take place after the events of Unity. The Season Pass will also include three new missions for Assassin's Creed Unity, as well as "30 new items, including the exclusive launch-day Fleur de Lys Sword."
To my knowledge, this is the first time an entirely new game has been included with a separate game's Season Pass. With the Season Pass launching at $29.99, it will be interesting to see what value this upcoming Assassin's Creed spinoff holds.
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China and Dead Kings will be available sometime early 2015. Until then, check out these first screens for Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.
